Center for New Mexico Archaeology

Architect: Kells & Craig Architects, Inc.
Engineer: Wilson Company
General Contractor: Lockwood Const. Co., Santa Fe
ICF Walls: Lonnie Wright Construction

This Leeds Certified commercial project was a perfect candidate for using ICF for the infrastructure. The concrete and insulation inherently provided the environmental control required by a facility that exhibits and stores fragile artifacts, the security to guard our historical treasures, and the 'green' building desired by new projects in our society. LWC structured the forms and installed the ICF for this 34,740 square foot facility making all three of these requirements a reality for the new center.

ICF walls were provided by LWC for the Organic Repository (3,188 square feet) and the Inorganic Repository (9,163 square feet). This was a total of 10,350 square feet of ICF walls. The 25' sloped walls were placed with multiple embeds.
